Quality Value Price Bang for the Buck I like riding in the desert and more fuel is a necessity on the 690 Enduro. Picking the right solution has been a struggle for me since the bigger range tanks (RR or Safari) create a more bulky and front-heavy bike than I like. I already have a 950 SE with a big tank and I love the 690 for its agility and weight balance that's so fun for wheelies!
5 liters (1.3 Gallon) is not much but it's still a more than 40% increase in gas range. I bought a black tank and it's hardly noticeable looking at the bike and more importantly, riding it! The weight is mostly low and centered.
I've used it extensively in tough conditions, crashed the bike a few times but the tank and mount are just like day one. Top quality!
It's expensive but here is what I like the most:
- Doesn't change riding position (space between your knees) and weight balance of the bike.
- Keeps the bike's look and handling nimble.
- Comes with a luggage rack and a much needed handle. Setup works very well with the Giant Loop bags.
